Mini's were so popular at CHA...and in this class you'll see why. Students will start with a brand new scalloped and layered mini book from Maya Road. You'll make some custom grungepaper embellishments and add lots of detail.
Next you'll ink with the brand-new distress ink colors, stamp with brand-new studio 490 stamps and some old favorites too, paint with the paint dabbers to create texture and embellish with cool new chipboard minis from Maya Road.

You'll leave with a completed six-page mini book that's LOADED with goodies.
You'll also take home two complete sets (different fonts) of Maya Road mini alphabets which will be perfect for creating more fun projects at a later date.

What to bring:craft sheet
jet black archival ink
scissors..I LOVE Tim's tonic scissors
glue...Art Glitter or Crafter's Pick are good choices...
Ink blending tool & foam pads
American Crafts precision black pen for pen-stitching details

Wendy will provide the new Distress Inks for everyone to share.
The sample uses tumbled glass, bundled sage, rusty hinge, barn door and brushed corduroy. BUT...If you prefer to customize your mini book and use other distress ink colors... That's GREAT!
Just bring your own distress inks.
Wendy suggests a blue (faded jeans or broken china), a green (peeled paint), an orange (spiced marmalade) a red (fired brick) and a brown (vintage photo or brushed corduroy) or any other color combo that you prefer.

Mini's are FUN! Hope to see you there. Class runs 3-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14; $60. Just a few seats remain in this class - don't miss guest artist Wendy Vecchi's visit to Scrap Tales. Check out her blog:
